We’re coming to Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh on Saturday, September 3, 2011. From 1:30 to 2:30 some of our members will be discussing, “Parrots and Plants”. There are plants that are dangerous to your parrot, plants that improve the air in your house, and others that are good to eat.
This informal session is included in the admission to Phipps Conservatory.
On Saturday, August 13, The National Aviary at Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh affiliate of The Parrot Education and Adoption Center will present a class on Basic Parrotkeeping and Training. The trainers at the Aviary are known throughout the world, for their expertise. This class also fulfills one of the requirements for adopting or fostering a bird fron PEAC. Admission is $25.00 and includes a folder with written information and admission to the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, for the entire day. Members of the Aviary and/or PEAC receive a $5.00 discount. PEAC representatives will be on hand to discuss the opportunities to participate in the organization as well as, adoptable birds and fostering needs.
